PLATINISED TITANIUM ANODE BENEFITS AND PROCESS IMPROVEMENTS OVER LEAD ANODE IN HARD CHROME PLATING

PLATINISED TITANIUM ANODE BENEFITS AND PROCESS IMPROVEMENTS OVER LEAD ANODE IN HARD CHROME PLATING The change from the lead anode to platinised the titanium anode was promoted by the introduction of high efficiency fluoride free baths. Which attacked lead anodes more severely than traditional hard chrome plating chemistries. Initially lead rod anodes were replaced with titanium rod anodes, which had a copper or aluminum core for high current applications, and over time further advantages platinised titanium anode have been recognized. Platinised Titanium Anodes: In order to utilize platinum’s exceptional conductive properties and corrosion resistance still remain economical & anodes are proceed by electro plating a very thin layer (typically 2-5MM) of platinum onto a specially tr... BRINE SYSTEM

BRINE SYSTEM The primary brine system is designed to produce polished brine containing less than 0.5 ppm of suspended solids. For satisfactory operation of membrane cell electrolysers, ultra-pure brine is a must. The primary brine system comprises of the following systems: Brine saturation Brine precipitation and Na2CO3 preparation (if you using raw salt) Brine clarification Brine filtration (Anthracite Media) Brine polishing Brine saturators are designed to saturate the lean brine from cell to again 305 gpl. The brine precipitation system and the brine clarification system are designed to precipitate and remove impurities from brine, principally calcium and magnesium. The clarified brine at outlet of clarifier will contain approx. 20 ppm of suspended solids.   Please feel free t... [More]
